Saturday Sparkle Bling Bling!

I'm so excited to share that my Aerie Necklace was featured on CapitolaGirl's Saturday Sparkle Blog (which, just to note, is not just for Saturday's anymore!)! When I finished that particular necklace I was just truly mesmerized by the end result. It's urban, vintage, modern, and chic at the same time.

Here's the link to follow and check out this great entry along with others that will surely add a little more glitz and glamour to your life.

Thanks for the feature, Susan! xo

My Yellow Brick Road

I am looking for the Wizard. That magical person with the cure all potions and balloon to take me back to place that I have come from...the place where I originate from, my core essence, my truth. This Wizard, he is an elusive little devil. Twisting and turning that yellow brick road so that the path to him is cloaked in mystery and illusion. A path on which I easily become confused.

Maybe he really doesn't exist? Quite possibly, he is only a fragment of a real person. A facade of a trickster that has already led me astray, beguilled by his promises of success and self importance. Has his duplicity already made me transparent?

I think that I have misused his purpose for my soul, thinking him an answer to the soggy mess that squishes beneath my tired and worn feet. Has the alliance of forces come to be a realization that the war was won by enemy forces well before the battle truly begun?

I am not beaten. Only now have I started to accept all that has come before me, as the illusionary curtain begins to open. I have asked for clarity and an unobstructed view so that I can make my soul purpose known to me. So that I can stop hindering my progress, my forward movement. I am now asking for clear direction to that purpose. For all obstacles be removed so that my own path is illuminated with intent, passion and my right and perfect for me livelyhood.

I am calling all angels to help me in this endeavor, since it has seemed too daunting to travel alone anymore.

Even Dorothy had ruby slippers to bring her home.

The Wizard turned out to be a shell of the man that people perceived him to be...that is why he hid behind the curtain.

And the Wicked Witch Elphaba finally found true love...in herself.

Gems with Intention Contest

As some of you know, I have been in love with natural gemstones for an eternity. This penchant, this passion, is something that I was born with...collecting stones and pebbles along my path as far back as my mind can remember. I am drawn to them, entranced and mesmerized by their beauty, uniqueness and power. Therefore, I suppose that it's quite natural to be doing what I'm doing. Creating with natural gems soothes my soul, awakens my spirit and creates visions that sometimes that I can't quite explain...

Above are some selections from a new line of jewelry that I have made using these natural stones in combinations to invoke your power within. But, I need a name for them! So, since I am a bit stymied by what to call them, I am going to ask all of you to help me out. This will be a contest too, with the winner receiving their choice of any piece in this line up to a $25 value for free.
How does this work? First, you must leave a comment on my blog with a name that you have come up with. Once all entries are received (by March 30th), I will pick the 4 most popular names and set up a poll and we need to vote away! At the close of the poll, the winner will be chosen at random from all entries received.
No purchase neccessary to play, of course :)
Let the games begin!

Turning to the Dark Side

I've been playing with things again...not that I'm bored or don't have a million things to do. I think that I just wanted something different. So, here it is, KasiaBlue in midnight. What do you think all my bloggy friends? Too mysterious, too dark, too depressing? I kind of like it, it's different (and for those who know me, different is defintely the way that I like it).

Let me know what you think.

Until then, I'll see you on the dark side :~)
