Many of us choose words to denote the beginning of the new year, almost as a resolution to our souls to create and manifest the word we choose into action. We take this word, or words, to heart and open ourselves to the possibility of charting a course filled with hope and anticipation.
So, in the spirit of all things new, I choose the word Focus as my mantra for 2011. This word, for some reason, makes me think about all that needs to be accomplished, then streamlined into little bits of accomplishment. Focus makes me feel that new ventures and reaching my goals is attainable, much more than in years past. It is the word I choose to create the dreams that I have already set into motion, now with a more deliberate and measured grace.
Focus
What is your word path?

Create Your World
Create your world as you would see fit
surround yourself with all that you can imagine
and make it a reality
start from the bottom up
and clean out the debris of yesterday
of negativity and doubt
of self sabotage and fear
Create the beauty that you want to behold
declutter your task list with wasteful items
and fill it with anything that makes you smile
a walk in the park
playing with children
reading a good book
fill it with anything that advances your soul
Create the person you would like to be
forget the status quo and be true to yourself
plan your future for what you want
not for what you are told to be
make your blissful life in your mind
then write it out
act it out
shout it out
become the happiness
that resides within
Create your world to be perfect for you
and take a chance on yourself
You'll be so glad that you did!

Contemplating a Simple Life
As I sat in the sun
on a cold winter morning
I contemplated a
simple life
That allowed
easy rhythms
a nourished soul
a happy heart
a peaceful mind
I thought of
the lack of deadlines
transferred stress of others
quibling over irrelevant things
being treated as if
I was less than good
a servant to superficial whims and desires
of the selfishly inclined
I thought of these things
and banished them from my heart
for I kow that my path
is only now being laid
brick by brick
my intentions are bringing me forward
my desires are
breaking down doors
every opportunity
a fulfillment of my
desires
I contemplate a
simple life
filled with
the true essence
of myself
following my truest path
*************************************
The picture is my own of the roses that I bought for myself on my birthday. Their color was simply stunning and I couldn't say no to them...their color so interesting and different. Lilac purple with pink and crimson, hints of cream and fuschia. Hot and cold at the same time...perfect since I have been feeling as if I have been living in the "in Between" again. Desperately wanting to move forward and upward from all that holds me still in this place of constant giving, without the the ability of my soul to have it filled back up. A slice of me is becoming a person that I don't like...one that cannot deal with those who would take all from you and give nothing back. I am trying to be happy, and small things do light my days. Yet, I know there is going to come a turning point that I can no longer work for someone else...my soul cannot handle it anymore. So, I am forging ahead to try and thing of all the things that I am good at, how to sell my self and all that I can offer to the world.
I am formulating my escape plan...one spoonful at a time.

Momentum
~::{Momentum, by me}::~
I have been asking all those who will listen from above to streamline my life, to take away the unnecessary garbage that is taking my precious time and wasting it, to help me become the businesswoman that I want to be...alll this is happening in quick measure. It's all happening like a tidal wave in slow motion...you know it's coming but you are anchored and can't move.
And I am standing here wondering if all is good.
My new website is coming along beautifully and I am so excited to have it launch. But gosh, such a big step for me! Will people buy from it?, how are they even going to find me out there will millions of other people?, blah, blah, blah...you know the ugly fear monster keeps on chattering away happy that he could get a mini novel dissertation in before dinner has even come to a close. I'm trying to shut him up because it really is going to be beautiful. I will definitely post more in the coming days about it when it is ready to go live.
I am trying to keep calm and carry on, as the popular phrase intones. Gracie said that this is all good, for old crap has to be moved out of the way for the new, good stuff to come in. She is right...but I feel like I am in limbo again! Conversations that were had have not yet come to fruition and I wonder if I am good enough. Seriously, what is up with not feeling like I deserve to be moving forward? Ugh! I have always walked through, with my head held high, for who I am is not a reflection on anyone else but me. Yet, I feel a little sad about all of this. I guess the letting go process still carries the tie of emotions and energy that has been invested into a project, job, person, whatever. You still need to process through that and release any attachment associated with it to move forward. That includes feeling a bit sentimental, I suppose. sniff. sniff.
Momentum...the word, the mantra. It's hanging on my fridge as a constant reminder to keep on going.
Say it with me..momentum, momentum, momentum....
Keep repeating it.

The End of Luxury
That is what I will call these days...the days of luxury. Where I played with my pretty gems and did not put on make up (even to go to the store...e-gads!) or clean the house or try to make any semblance of the directions of things to come.
I just was.
What a beautiful feeling, just to be and not have to march to the beat of anyone's drum but your own (well, ok...for most of the time anyway, I have a family you know).
This time alone is what I have so desperately needed. I was insatiably craving the opportunity to not worry about anything except whether or not I was going to create... or make dinner... go sledding... bake a decadent chocolate peanut butter ganache cake for my husband's birthday. No matter what choice I made, it was the right one... purely driven by instinct and free will.
How often do we really allow ourselves to live the day without parameters? Or are we scheduled to the absolute mili-second so that when we do have a moment to breathe, it is simply enough air to sustain us before the next onslaught of madness and mayhem occurs.
We wonder why things are the way they are...
If you have any possiblity of taking some time for yourself...please, do so. It is so good for your soul, your psychological well being, although probably not so much for the waist line and new years resloutions :)

A Much Needed Rest
My friends, I have needed rest. With a spiltting headache and dizzy gait, I laid my head down to ease the turmoil that has been created by all that surrounds me. It worries me, these spells of disjointed chaos reaked upon my physical self. Maybe it is one more sign to make a choice that will serve my higher good...and not those of others. I have been burning the proverbial candle at both ands, and the middle as well. I will need help to extinguish all but one of these flames. I fear that my life, my sanity and my purpose depends upon it.
Let me shine one light for the word to see.
Brighter than any flame that has gone before this.
One light to show my soul.
One passion to create beauty for all to see.

Contracts
So I told my story
and I raised their hearts
without knowing
of the spirit moving through me
I spoke candidly
without fear
or contention
letting my experinces
guide me
to let them know
my Truth
I have long thought
that I would be able
to Inspire those around me
with words from heaven
passed through me
by the power of the spirit
it is my callling
one that I now see
that I must start to
fulfill
this is my contract
that has been sealed
in the heavens
where my soul danced
with God

Inspire Me Mondays...Abstraction
~*{Abraction Series 1: Silk by KasiaBlue}*~
......................................................................................
All of these abstracts were taken with my camera in the most unsuspecting of places...my bedroom, my bathroom...all areas of muted color and light. I started taking these pictures as part of an assigment for a great e-course that I am taking :Bones of a Poet given by the lovely Maddie of Persisting Stars. Going in to a course like this, one never knows what to expect. My best advice is, expect the unexpecred and be open to all messages that come your way. Truthfully, I would never dub myself as much of a photographer, so this course was meant to open my eyes up to a new side of me. It's working, in very interesting ways.
I have found that:
I absolutely love photography
~*{Abraction Series 1: Rapture by KasiaBlue}*~

~*{Abraction Series 1: Passion by KasiaBlue}*~
.................................................................................
I love color and the variances that light and dark make
~*{Abraction Series 1: Creativity by KasiaBlue}*~
.................................................................................
I need to be creative or my soul light starts to diminish
Nature is absolutely stunning when seen from different angles

I am happy in the light and the dark
I hope that you like these photos! If you get a chance, dust your camera off and view your life through a lens. You might be surprised by what you may find :)

Rock Week Day 5 - Peace Rocks
~*{Tenderly My Love, at Kasiablue}*~
~*{Peaceful Dove, at Kasiablue}*~
*************************************************************
Ok, so I can't make a peace sign....there I said it. All of my failed attempts led to the haphazard rose quartz spelled out version of P.E.A.C.E. Although, you have to give me points for trying!
I'm only going to give you a short tidbit about rose quartz today, because I am just exhausted and I still haven't gotten ready for my show tomorrow!
If you don't know this already, rose quartz is the ultimate love stone. Love for yourself, for others and for the world. Simply be wearing this lovely stone, you wrap yourself with a lovely pink bubble that helps to keep things nice and fuzzy! This stone, in combination with any other gives a gentle, loving vibration that can't be beat! It's element is water and it's primary chakra is the Heart.
In honor of this day, spread your love to anyone and everyone you meet. Show peace in your actions and carry it in your heart. Be the Love and Peace that you want to see in this world :)

Rock Week Day 4 - Labradorite
~*{Lightning at Dawn, $49 at Kasiablue}*~
***********************************************************************
Ah, here we are again, back with a new found favorite...Labradorite. This stone is simply enchanting. I love the fact that it looks unassuming and dark, almost lackluster, then POW! it shocks you with a brilliant flash of blue, green, yellow and red. I call it the stone of the unexpected just because of this magical quality. This feldspar based stone is named after the region that it was first foundin the Labrador Peninsula of Canada. It's brilliant flashes of layered color is called labradoresence and it simply, totally can mesmerize your soul.
Labradorite's element is Wind and it is beneficial to all of the chakras.
A little bit about Labradorite:
The gem labradorite has been associated with magic, awakening one's magical powers when worn or used in manifestation. This powerful stone helps one to see time elements in the form of past, present and future, allowing for cross over int o different realms. Labradorite is also a very protective stone. It creates a somewhat of a "force field" throughout the aura, shielding the wearer from those who would tap into and drain your energy. The first "high end" piece of jewelry that I made for myself contained a mix of labradorite, andalusite, kyanite and smoky quartz. Upon wearing it out in public for the first time, I felt very strange, almost as if I had a barrier around me (no lie!) and found it very hard to intereact with many of the other people that had attended the function that day. It was only later on that I discovered, after some research, that the labradorite force field was in full effect! (along with some grounding and balancing). I didn't know about the magnificent power of gemstones until that day, but boy, do they work!
Labradorite also assists us in filling the void, so to speak...somewhat of filling in the blank when we ask all of those deep metaphysical questions. It also helps healers to see disease patterns and brings forth a higher awareness to the soul by accessing the full visualization capability of the third eye.
I hope that you have enjoyed this installment of rock week! Tomorrow...Peace Rocks!

Inspire Me Mondays...on Wednesday...Prisms and Light Play
~*::{Mystical Earrings in Vitrail Blue}::*~
~*::{Mystical Earrings in Solar Ice}::*~

I have always been captivated by the way that light plays through a prism or glass, causing milllions of sparkles and rainbows to come about. I do suppose, that this was the first inkling of my love affair with gemstones and the like.
I don't know why I have resisted my desires for so long.
So, go ahead, look at the way that light plays off of different surfaces. Discover the way that rainbows of color form in the most unusual of places. Open your eyes to a kaleidoscope of color.
Be inspired by Light.

Inspired Life Lesson #8...Believe in Angels

I have no doubt in my mind
that Angels exist
that they carry you
in your darkest moments
wipe your tears when you cry
tickle your sides to make you laugh
and hold your hand
when the deepest of sorrows
fill your heart
I have been talking to my Angels
praying for a miracle
asking for temperance and compassion
for my Mother in Law
so that she can begin her next journey
in peace
On Tuesday afternoon
the Angles took up their charge
and led a weary heart home
so that life could begin anew
and sufferening would not commence
on a heart that was full of love
May the Angels lead you home
to comfort and warmth
with love and light surrounding your heart
We love you and miss you

Inspire Me Mondays...the water and the wind

Yesterday
I took a walk
by the water
to ease my
scattered soul
I desperately
needed
to feel the heavy
water laden breeze
against my skin
a cleansing mist
to remove the
uncertainty
that is stirring inside
Along my walk
there were crayfish claws
scattered about
in random places
it's carcas found later
down the path
How fitting
for I too felt
pulled from every direction
my limbs overextended
my will scattered and torn
my desire, belly up
Today, I am right side up
ready to face the day
a little more connected
on the outside
slightly more settled
on the inside
thanks to the water
and the wind
that has restored
my desire
to keep walking down the path

Inspired Life Lesson #8...Intention
I have never had much patience
everyone tells me soI am always in overdrive
a flood of information
at the drop of a hat
this scares some people
I suppose my intensity
has never been channeled
into a proper
purpose
I do know
that if I set my mind to something
if I truly desire it
it will be mine
the power of intention is amazing
I was told yesterday that this year
from birthday to birthday
is made up of three principles
for me
intention
expansion
healing
all three working
in synergy
a spiral of force surrounding love
I was also told that
I need to take a breath
and not peek at the souffle
in the oven
for it won't rise
if it isn't allowed to work
in the right time
I send forth my intention
for myself and my conspirators
that we three gain the courage
to be exactly what we need to be
at the right time for us
and to not fear
those who don't believe in our possibility
especially ourselves
seeing with clear vision
what we are about to become

Inspire Me Mondays...trash talk
A very short time ago
I became angry
out of nowhere it seemed
it was just a simple task
I was asked to perform
and all I felt
was angry
I don't know where
the tidal wave came from
the overbearing sense
of blood boiling release
I simply could not do it
again
I could not clean up
the mess left behind
from some one else
when my "house"
was full of neglect
My soul simply could not
bear it
my heart too overdrawn
my body full
of bounced checks
the giving well
had just run dry
I just let it ebb and flow
I let it do it's job
and release the trash
that was holding me back
hoping that this time
my heart would be clean

Don't Fence Me In
There are days when one is tired
when every ounce of you has been givenAll for the good of others
their enjoyment, your duty
There will come a day when
I am on the other side of the fence
There it is...that fence thing again
Somehow I just can't stop myself
from peeking over the top
and seeing who I want to be
Why the barrier
to a blissful life?

Inspire Me Mondays...the Ocean
The Ocean is a magical place. Full of mystery and unusual creatures, it calls to us...beconing our souls to return and wash away our weariness. We stopped at the ocean on our way home from Florida by request from our little moppets. It was their first time coming "home", the waves lapping their feet and salty spray tickling their noses. Our time was limited, as we were on our journey back to real life, but the short hiatus of carefree living was just so restoring. Simple. Beautiful. Fun.
We collected sea shells and laughed at how poorly we pronounced the famous riddle "she sells sea shells by the seashore". It's no wonder that the world thinks that we talk as if our mouths were full of marbles. Nonetheless, our ineptitude was washed away by the high tide that teased our toes as we walked along the sandy shore collecting our little treasures that were smoothed by the waves of time.

As we were about to leave, my husband spotted something in the distance. We stared intently at the horizon looking for another peek at to what it might be. And there they were again, two dolphins swimming together, their dorsal fins popping in and out of the water. Such a sweet treat for our ride home.
The ocean simply captures my soul.
